Terms of use
Plain terms for an honest tool.

1. The service
Elegant Polls provides Elegant Polls, which lets registered creators build polls and LiveLink events, collect responses through shareable links, analyze results, and publish or export reports. It also offers Alignment workspaces for named, structured questionnaires, live cohort insight, and private matching. Standard poll and LiveLink respondents generally do not need an account; Alignment participants do. By using the service, you accept these terms.
2. Accounts and ownership
Creators and Alignment participants must use an account and are responsible for its security and activity performed through it. Creators are also responsible for their organization members and workspace permissions. You must provide accurate account information and use multi-factor authentication where the service requires it. Legacy private links may be claimable into an account; once claimed, authenticated workspace ownership controls management.
3. Named Alignment workspaces
Alignment questionnaires are intentionally not anonymous. Joining identifies you to the organizer using your display name and verified account email. Your draft remains private to you until submission; after submission, the creator and explicitly authorized workspace admins or reviewers can review the named answer set. Those collaborators may be outside the creator's organization. Participant-facing views are limited to configured solution fields, privacy-thresholded aggregates, and private match or mutual-contact information permitted by the people involved.
Organizers must give participants a clear, lawful purpose for a named questionnaire, collect only information reasonably relevant to it, honor the platform's consent and visibility controls, secure any downloaded or copied data, and avoid attempts to re-identify suppressed cells. Organizers may not scrape contact details or use Alignment scores as the sole basis for an employment, credit, housing, insurance, investment, or other legally significant decision.
Participants must have authority to submit information about a company, team member, asset, or project. Do not provide trade secrets, passwords, payment-card or financial-account credentials, regulated health data, government identifiers, or third-party confidential information unless the service expressly supports that data and you are authorized to provide it.
4. Publishing and sharing
You control whether a poll, event, or report is private, available by link, or public. Publishing is a deliberate act. Although you may later unpublish, close, or restrict an item, people may already have copied, embedded, downloaded, or redistributed it. Elegant Polls cannot recall copies made outside the service.
5. Acceptable use and user responsibility
You agree not to use Elegant Polls to:
- Solicit, coordinate, or glorify harm to people or animals, exploit children, promote hate, or publish private personal information;
- Impersonate an official election, sell or multiply votes, enable unlawful gambling, fraud, or other illegal activity;
- Collect information without a lawful basis, request passwords or authentication secrets, or attempt to identify anonymous respondents;
- Circumvent Alignment consent, visibility, mutual-contact, or small-cell suppression controls, or harvest participant profiles;
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, its hosting, or its security, or circumvent its abuse controls;
- Send spam, distribute malware, or manipulate voting integrity.
Automated checks may block prohibited content before publication. We may review reports, restrict accounts, close events, unpublish content, or preserve an audit record when reasonably necessary for safety, law, security, or enforcement. Lawful opinions are not subject to editorial approval merely because they are unpopular.
6. Plans, payments, advertising, and sponsors
Elegant Polls may offer free and paid plans with different limits, collaboration rights, branding, advertising, exports, embeds, and LiveLink capacity. Paid purchases are billed through our payment processor under the price and renewal terms shown at checkout. Free or public surfaces may display advertising. LiveLink events may display creator-managed sponsorships that are clearly disclosed and do not purchase or multiply votes.
7. Results, matching, and exports
Poll and LiveLink results reflect the people who chose or were invited to participate. Elegant Polls does not certify that a sample is representative, scientific, fraud-free, or suitable as professional advice. Creators are responsible for reviewing free-text responses and exported material before publication.
Alignment scores and suggestions are decision-support signals based on the information participants supplied. They may be incomplete, stale, or wrong and do not guarantee compatibility, availability, employment, funding, investment, legal compliance, or business success. Free-text hard conditions require human review, and the organizer and participants remain responsible for every decision.
8. User content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you submit, subject to any rights held by another person or organization. You give Elegant Polls a limited permission to host, secure, process, compare, display, and export that content as needed to provide the features and visibility choices you or the workspace organizer activate. Viewing a named response does not transfer its ownership to the organizer. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for the content you provide.
9. Warranty and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law permits. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, revenue, or business arising from the service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Availability, suspension, and changes
We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time, and may suspend access needed to protect the service or enforce these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, and disputes are subject to the courts competent there, except where the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country or state of residence provides otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited by agreement.
12. Contact
Send service and account questions through the support contact form.
